Laura, If you don't mind me asking where was your facial scar located on your face. I have one recently from a basal cell mohls surgery on my nose. I plan on purchasing scaraway . Thanks for all the FYI!

I am a huge fan of ScarAway silicone products. I have used both the sheets and gel serum AND the new Silicone Serum with the massager rollers. My doctor originally introduced me to ScarAway sheets and like your said it was the best thing to use on scars...even my older one. Worked great for me and my mom for a variety of scars, from surgery anad and old c-section scar, to my moms heart surgery scar and my occassional bad purpl/red acne scar. Love this...thanks for reviewing!

Maritza sorry for the delayed reply. I think it can be very useful especially on certain body parts such as the abdomen or on large scars. I don't know whether or not the additional pressure provides a synergistic effect together with the silicones. The Gelzone Garment wrap must be breathable though, which I assume it is. In case you already have silicone sheets I would not buy this garment as well. You could also use a common bandage to keep the sheets attached. Hope this helps a bit, haven't used the belt myself.

aahh! ok. got it. thank you so much for responding.

what do you think about Gelzone Garment wrap? if you don't mind me asking. if I am going to get ScarAway or Biodermis... is it necessary for me to get Gelzone wrap?

Hi maritza, thanks for the kind words. I generally did but it also depended on the location of the scar. For example on my face I used the gel more when I was out in public. I did not use the gel at night. I commonly recommend for people to wear the sheets at night and the gel at daytime so it's less obvious. I wore them at daytime because I had lost my job back then and was mainly at home.

You're correct, I gave them time to 'breathe' despite the recommendations of most manufacturers. Thinking back of it I would not recommend this. It doesn't make sense because quality brands are breathable. It was just me being stubborn and my scars might have faded quicker if I had used them for at least 18 hours a day.

thank you for this update. I enjoyed your other blog about all the different scar treatments.
but I thought you used your sheets during the day and then gave it a break at night, and used the gel. am I correct?
