Had the laser treatment to get rid of a few annoying spider veins. Either the setting was too high, the cooling passes afterwards weren't effective. With Coolglide I had 120 joules, 15 PW to dose. about 5-6 weeks ago. Prior to that I had a Dual Yellow treatment o.6 spot size, yellow color 384 pulses
33.79 total Joules
30 joules power

The next 1-2 days after the treatment clear blistered formed over where the laser head had zapped then which I covered with Aquaphor and stayed out of the sun. The blisters popped and eventually the skin sank and a series of depressions and dents were evident, The laser had burned me and my spider veins were more pronounced than ever. One plastic surgeon said there was nothing to be done. MY original doctor told me to patch the depressions and divots with sheets of Vigilion and keep in place for 24 houses then change which I have been doing for the past week and I;m not sure if I see any improvement at all. Am I doing the right thing? Has anyone experienced this And what and how were they resolved or fully healed. They look like red depressed chicken pox scars and one is a small red divot. Others are sunken tracks where the technician went along the vein and burned a trough in the skin. The skin is between the noses folds on the immediate cheek besides. Dose anyone have any thoughts to help me cope, find some hope that there is a solution?? I'm quite depressed about the fact that these laser burns the coolglide machine gave me are permanent.

Yes my scars are growing outside original boundaries. For example; My scars were approx. 1/10 of an inch wide, and now they are 1/4 of an inch wide. I have used scar away before. I prefer NewGel. They tend to hold up a little better, and they are thicker.

Hi Stacy, I don't know anything about that particular combination. I guess I would personally choose to do one treatment at a time. Do your scars grow outside of the original boundaries of the wound? And which brand of silicone sheets do you use?

Hi Beas, I was wondering if you have done any studies on using steriod shots in conjunction with v-beam laser treatments? I have been using silicone sheeting. My scars are 5 months old, still red, and sometimes itchy. They appear to be getting thicker despite my near 24 hour use of the sheeting.

Hi Lynn I would recommend for you to look into Medihoney dressings. These are revolutionary in the truest sense of the word. (here's more info on these honey based wound dressings

Taking optimal care of the wound is the first crucial step in minimizing scar tissue. It's essential to avoid infections and speed wound healing. Once the wound has become a scar treatment depends on how it looks. In case it's red or raised I would certainly use silicone sheets. Also to reduce the risk on keloid development. Make sure to keep it out of the sun.

My son had a punctured wound two weeks ago on his forehead. The doctor couldn't stitch his wound because it's triangular shape. His wound is quite deep so he will have bad scar. Is there any treatment for him.
